Screened-in Porch Addition

Permit Documents are finalized for the addition of a screened-in porch over part of an existing back deck in Garrett Park, Maryland. Upland Works is providing full design services as well as materials selection and procurement. During the design phase, we used 3-D modeling to help the client visualize both the interior space and how the addition would blend in with the existing house.

Primary Bedroom Addition

Construction is about to start on the addition of a primary bedroom and full bathroom in Alexandria, Virginia. Upland Works provided full design services, helping the client maximize every available inch of new space via built-in storage in the bathroom and a flexible bedroom layout. Pictured here are excerpts from the project's "Idea Book" that combines sketches and precedent images to help the client visualize the potential for their space.

Front Stoop Replacement

Design is progressing for the replacement of an aging front stoop in the historic Parker Grey section of Alexandria. We're working with the client and the city's Board of Architectural Review to achieve a code-compliant replacement that draws from local historic precedent.
